The Day Warren Miller Came to Town
Each year, Warren Miller Entertainment seeks out locations to show off of the heart of current ski culture in their annual ski film. 2017 was no different, and lucky for us, Silverton Mountain exemplifies the pure passion for sliding on snow. We were stoked when Warren Miller brought out athletes George Rodney and Tyler Peterson with legend filmer and athlete Tom Day to our San Juan snow belt to capture our steep, deep, untouched snow on film. Line of Descent’s focus is on the ties that bind ski culture. Kudos to Warren Miller Entertainment for landing right at the heart of ski culture in the San Juans.
So what is it like when the Warren Miller crew comes to town? Pretty much like all the other days! There were shot-skis in the tent, hero laps off the chairlift, heli runs, and above all there was the general camaraderie that flows so freely among skiers and riders. That camaraderie is the real tie that binds us. So grab your crew and stoke your passion for the upcoming winter season at a Warren Miller film near you!
Our Silverton Mountain representatives (guides & owners alike) will be present at the shows in Denver, Boulder, San Francisco, Chicago and Boston and we would love to see you!
If the Warren Miller crew finds the white room at Silverton Mountain, so can you! The hero, Warren Miller, has made some epic quote over the years but one of our favorites involves “carpe diem”. “If you do go this year you will be on year older when you do.” Silverton Mountain guides can help you achieve one of your most memorable ski days. With a limited amount of daily skiers the odds that you will get the best conditions in Colorado is usually a given.
Tickets are on sale now for the upcoming Warren Miller Entertainment’s Line of Descent.
