Summer Saw Crew Position

We are looking for skilled and hardworking crew to assist with summer forest health and fuels reduction work within the ski area and ski trail glading.  Must be very physically fit and able to work on steep mountain slopes in rain/ all weather conditions. Pay is $20 per hour for the summer work.  Each person would need their own saw and protective chaps. Silverton would provide fuel and oil and replacement chains.  Most likely working 4 10’s with three off days per week June through September.

Maintenance Manager Position (combo of vehicle, lift & facility maintenance)

We are looking at adding a Maintenance Manager Position. Would need to be able to perform maintenance, troubleshooting and repair of light trucks, busses, snowmobiles, snow cats, diesel and gas engines, small engines, electronics and basic facility maintenance. Previous chairlift and building/facility maintenance experience would be a plus but not required.  Would need to be comfortable working in the field in snow working on vehicles and chairlift.  Would be year-round position based in Silverton, CO.  Ideal scenario for hardworking person who is passionate about skiing and ski industry.  Email

Winter Snow Internship

Currently accepting snow internship applicants for the season. Requires a full season commitment Dec-April working 4-5 days a week. Internship is unpaid but provides excellent experience in the field of snow. Avalanche Level 2/Pro level 1 and WFR/OEC required. Ski/Snowboard Guides/Patrol

Qualified guides/patrol with at least 4 years pro ski patrol or pro ski guiding experience should submit resumes via email. Seasonal work includes ski guiding, heli guiding, and snow safety duties. Lift Operator

Silverton Mountain is looking for a Lift Operator to monitor the operation of the lift and notify management of any problems or unusual conditions while maintaining a safe work area. This individual must abide by operating procedures, be able to stand outside in inclement weather for long periods of time, lift up to 50lbs, have the ability to make quick decisions regarding safety.
