Cancellation Policy

SINGLE INCREMENT HELI CANCELLATION POLICY

If you cancel your reservation more than 30 days in advance of the date of the reservation, you will receive a 40% refund of the amount you paid. Cancellations made less than 30 days in advance of the date of the reservation will not receive a refund. You cannot change dates once you make a reservation without losing full payment. Unfortunately, we cannot give refunds, rain checks or cancellations if a pass to Silverton is closed. If one direction to Silverton is open, you must ski on your reserved day. It is best to arrive the night before to be safe.

Weather and Mid-Day Cancellation Policy and No Fly Credits

You need to be at the base area on time by 8:15 AM. If you arrive late or leave before 4:30 PM you are not entitled to any credits. If we cannot provide you with any of your reserved heli runs on your scheduled day because we need cancel due to wind, non-flyable weather, mechanical issue or for any other reason you will get a refund of the amount paid towards the heli runs. This is the only instance in which you will receive a heli refund.

If we need cancel heli skiing due to wind, non-flyable weather, mechanical issue or for any other reason after the ski day has initiated (but prior to you completing all of your heli runs) you will be credited for the amount of heli runs that you did not receive. Any applicable Heli Run credits will be issued as a voucher. You must collect your voucher before departure from Silverton, this is your responsibility. Vouchers must be redeemed during the current operating season. Your lift ticket or rental equipment are not eligible for refund due to a grounded helicopter.

6 RUN HELI CANCELLATION POLICY

Weather Policy

You need to be at the base area at your specified “call time”. If you arrive late or leave before 4:30 PM you are not entitled to any credits. If there is a weather delay we need you to stay available at the ski area until 12 PM on your scheduled heli day standing by. If we cannot provide you with any heli runs on your booked heli day because we cancel due to wind, non-flyable weather, mechanical issues or for any reason for which we decide to cancel you will receive a full refund for your heli reservation. This is the only instance in which you will receive a refund.

Credits and Refunds

If we need to cancel a portion of your heli day once underway you will be credited for the amount of runs you did not obtain.For example, if you only skied 4 runs, you would have a 2 run credit on file for a future day to be used the current season or following season only. Any applicable Heli Run credits will be issued as a voucher. You must collect your voucher before departure, this is your responsibility. Vouchers must be redeemed during the current operating season. Your lift ticket or rental equipment are not eligible for refund due to a grounded helicopter.

*If your party moving at a slower than normal pace and unable to obtain all of your runs due to skier ability this policy will not apply.

Chairlift Accessed Backup Skiing

Silverton has chairlift accessed backup skiing available (on days the lift is open to the public). There is no charge to ski with a guided group from the chairlift while you are on a heli weather hold. If you elect to ski past 12pm with a guided group from the chairlift because the heli has been cancelled you will be charged the daily guided ski price for your lift served ski day.

If your heli day is cancelled, (after your run credits are issued) you may elect to purchase a day of Guided Skiing if you choose.

No Heli Refunds Unless We Do Not Fly

If you get hurt, sick or choose to not partake in your heli day for any reason you will not receive a refund or credit. If you require a special heli flight for a medical evacuation or for any other reason you will be charged an extra fee to cover the additional flight costs.
